Searching for relatives in USA, probably the area of Michigan / Minnesota
/ Duluth. Calumet Copper mines. Eagle river.

In 1873-1891 my family did emigrate from Skjervoey / Kvaenangen in Troms
County, Norway to Michigan or Minnesota. They used to work for a mining
company. Possible destinations: Houghton, Keweenaw, Hancock, Clff mine,
Calumet Copper mines MI o.e.

My great great grandparents where:
Johan Petter Isaksson Alainenpaa Kenttaa, born 1818 in Martila, Turtola,
Finnland, and his wife:
Brita Eva Caisadotter Adamsdotter Blomster, born 1.april 1820 in Liedacka,
Tornio, Finnland.

He left Norway for Hancock MI first in 1873, and a second time for Houghton
in 1880. She left Norway for Houghton in 1881.

Their Children:

Britta Marie, born 1842 in Finnland, did probably not emigrate.
Johan Petter, born 1845 in Norway, left for Hancock MI in 1873, with his
father.
Erik born 1848 in Norway, left for Houghton MI in 1880. ?
Salamon born 1850 in Norway, left for MI in 1880-90.
Isak/Isach born 1853 in Norway, left for MI in 1880.
Carl, born 1857 in Norway, did not emigrate.
Fredrik/Fredric born 1861 in Norway, left for MI in 1880 ?
Michael/Mikkel born 1859 in Norway, left for MI in 1881 with his mother.

They could have used the names Johansen/Johnson, Alanenbe, Kentta, Gentha,
Guita (wrong spelling og Gentha). we do think we have found the grave og
Isaach Gentha at the Pinegrove Cemetry, Eagle Harbor.

Since they left, nothing is heard from theese people.

My great grandfather Carl, born 1857, did not emigrate. He was left here
in Norway, we dont know why, and adopted into the Stroem-family. He settled
down in Skjervoey, Troms. Now we are a lot of people after him.

Where did the immigrants settle down ?
Do we have relatives "Over there" today ?
