The children, teenagers, I am refering to are not truant, they have been
expelled or suspended from school for infractions of school rules, usually
very serious, ie: weapons violations, drug dealing, physical violence.
They are expelled from school with no plan in place as to how they are
going to spend their time that they would normally be in school.
Unfortunately they are usually from single parent homes where the parent
must work and there is NO ONE to oversee them. I feel these young people
should have some place they have to be and something to do that they are
overseen by a responsible adult. As it is they wander the streets and make
more mischief for law enforcement. Ruth
