I never developed a taste for banana pudding. I must be the only one though:
it is the first dessert to disappear at family reunions, parties, and church
pot lucks. As far as pineapple upside down cake: never met one I didn't want a
bit of!

Oh, goodness, someone else who makes real Banana Pudding!!!

Family lore: Melissa's first husband David, whose mother's cooking skills
are not up to par, had never had Banana Pudding until he came to supper at
our house one evening. You would have thought I was serving a four star
gourmet dessert.
The boy ate until he was so miserable. His mother's parents were born in
Putnam County, TN. So I don't know what happened to her. I mistakenly
thought all females with ties to Tennessee were born knowing how to cook. He
also had never had Pineapple Upside Down Cake made in an iron skillet.

Good food can be so simple.
