Sorry, Ruth, I could just picture in my mind the flour and pigs in the back
of that SUV! I have a vivid imagination too and I would have scrubbed the
smell right out of that fictional SUV. I've done similar chores. I was
only thinking about the mess, even if it was a made-up story. We have
transported 2 calves, a 125-lb. pig, and 50 baby chickens twice in the back
end of a '56 Chevie station wagon. Believe me, the calves were the worst
smelling. I have used mild bleach water for over 40 years to cure any smell
of that nature. Mild bleach water is the best and cheapest disinfectant
and sanitizer a person could find...that's why they use it in a lot of
restaurants on tables and counters, etc. A gallon jar of milk tipped over
and spilled most of it on the mats and the carpet underneath in the car on
an 95-degree day. Bleach water got that spill too and the car smelled like
a nice clean creamery for a couple of days, but then we couldn't smell it
anymore. We had about 3 gallons of chili beans spill in the back of the
pickup on our way to a car club "freeze-out" tour (had a fender-bender).
We've cleaned up a lot of messes, but that was THE worst mess we ever had to
clean up.

Thanks again, Walter, after being alone with only Easter-kitty here on both
Christmas and New Year's, I can now smile again! Your story sure did cure
my "doldrums". <giggle> Mary P. in Washington
