They said several times only the police can cancel it....so glad they
didn't. I think it would take an extreme danger to cancel....heck what's a little
rain, snow, or wind.....its such a special parade. One of my high school
teachers rides in it each year, Bob Tanner, when he and exwife Jean split, it
was written in the divorce settlement that they would ride together in the
parade each year, as it is hard to get mounted groups in. They ride as the
Tanner/Fetterman group, just in case you ever come across them.
I'd sure miss the parade if it wasn't on, I love the floats....could care
less for the live acts they had this year....but love the bands and everything
else.
