My peonies are all thru blooming, but I see some in other yards. I think of
them blooming here for Memorial Day.
The irises are all in bloom now. I gave all of mine away last year; I got
tired of all the work they needed. I don't know what there is in my dirt
but things multiplied so fast in my yard, at least every 3 years they had to
be divided, or the clumps would be too intertwined to separate. A lady that
manages a senior apartment complex took them, and said they are really
blooming good. I took my sister to see what I used to have, but didnt' see
them. Sure enough, they had them in the back along the fence and you can't
see them from the parking lot. She told me to come by and see them.
The roses are doing great now, in full bloom. The Rose Festival in Portland
is planned for the roses to be blooming during the festival. The crowning
ceremonies are held in the Rose Garden, where there are acres of roses
blooming. Gorgeous!! I have 2 Double Delight roses. They have such large
blooms and smell like a rose should smell. A lady walked by late yesterday,
and asked if she could have one of my roses. Evidently, she was asking for
a bloom from each yard. She had a nice bouquet by the time she got to my
yard.
The dogwood trees are in full bloom. I think the pink ones are so pretty.
