I have been doing research on McCRACKENS in Indiana. There were at least 2 ROBERTS. One lived in Paoli,Orange County in the 1820 census. He was between 26 & 45 yrs. There was also a WILLIAM who was over 45 who had 3 sons under 5,1 daughter under 5,1-10/16; 1- 16/20. There was also an ALEXANDER who was over 45.The ages of his children are unclear except for 1 male 0/5.
In Northwest Twp.,Orange County was ROBERT with males 2 under 5; 1- 26/45 & females: 2 under 5; 1- 26/45.
I believe that some of these were from North Carolina.

William McCracken is Robert McCracken's brother. The will probably will be
of little use. William never married. It's value genealogically is that
it lists Wm' s sibling in order of age. Robert being named last as he was
last b and in SC
This family arrived in Charleston 5 Jan 1768 on the Chichester. Arthur
and Ruth were the parents and there were 10 children.
Robert m. Rachel Glasgow, dau of James & Mary Glasgow. Robert died
c. 1817 and I believe intestate. His estate is filed in Box 32, Estate 13,
Newberry Co., SC. His son, Cyrus administered the estate.
The female Ch of Arthur & Ruth were Mary, Jane, Margaret and Ruth.
Mary and Jane, each were allowed 100 acres. Ruth was not m at time of
William's will (!790?)
In the 1950's, there was a large house fronting 76 or 176, going South
into Newberry and it was referred to as The McCracken house by some and the
Glasgow house by others.
