Dr. Philip G. McCracken wrote about the other James McCracken that
entered the U.S. about the same time as our James McCracken in
Pennsylvania. They were also about the same age too. This just helped
to complicate things.
I have his book.
There is another line of McCrackens in Maryland that I need to check
out. I know they are not directly relatable. One of them has a farm
near Baltimore.
Clyde, I'll send you $10.00 for copies too. Where do I mail it? The
more information we can get from the 1700s, the better.

That would be interesting. This JAMES is not mine, but years ago I found
this film on Revolutionary War pension applications and found it
interesting. I had forgotten about it,but later remembered it,so I
looked it up and copied most of it and entered it into my data base. I
thought some folks might be interested.

I would like to exchange information with other researchers regarding D. Lawrence McCracken. He was born in Lee Co, IA in 1858 and died in 1942. His first name was apparently Delarma or something similar. He used his middle name as an adult. He married Nancy Judy. I am especially interested in connecting with any of his descendants.

I would like to exchange information with other researchers regarding Joseph (Henry) McCracken. Henry was born in 1871 in Iowa and later lived in Kansas and Missouri. He lived his adult life in Chase Co, KS where he married Laura Geer. I am especially interested in contacting his descendants.

My 5th great-grandmother, Mary McCracken, arrived with her parents and
siblings in Philadelphia aboard the schooner,
The Seven Friends, in July, 1819. Her father was James McCracken. Mary
married on board a Samuel Wisely who died in 1824
at a young age. Mary was born in Ireland in 1799, and is buried in
Garrard Chapel Cemetery in Vandalia, Indiana. Her son, John Wisely,
born in 1824, was my fourth great grandfather. Does anyone have any idea
if this James McCracken (Mary's father) is connected to the
James McCracken mentioned below? I'd be happy to pay for copies of this
information also.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
