Dora Mae Murnan is the daughter of Paris and Adaline Sapp McCracken. I
have her as Dora A., but acknowledge this could be the same person. She
married Ruben C. Murnan on 24 Nov 1891 in Hickory County MO. That's all I
have on her.

Paris McCracken (5 Aug 1849 to 28 Jan 1884) is the grandson of Thomas and
Elizabeth Holmes McCracken through their son Samuel and wife, Elizabeth
Owings. He is buried in Tillery Cemetery in Hickory County, MO. Spelling
on stone is Pares.

Elizabeth Owings McCracken went to TX with Samuel, Jr. and others of her
children. I can't find her. I have something that indicated they went to
Hardeman County, but also have documents from Denton County involving some
of this family.

Are you from a part of the family that went to TX? I've had a lot of
trouble finding Sam and Elizabeth's descendants!

Yes, the homestead of Thomas and Elizabeth is in the McCracken family, as
is land orginally belonging to some of their sons. My husband is
descended from their youngest son, Joseph Carroll.
