Philip, I may be wrong but I believe that the chances of a successful
Y-DNA extraction are very, very small unless some of the hairs
include the "root" material. I'll pose the question to Thomas Krahn
of DNA-Fingerprint as his company does a lot of forensic DNA testing.
Another issue would be the confidence level that the hair actually
belonged to John James McCracken.
