Dan,
I am one of a few people on the this list that are decended from James,
Sr. 1753. I need to look through what I have compiled in my database. My
lineage is James,Sr.--> Daniel-->Thomas--> Blake W.--> Philip F.Sr.-->Philip
F.Jr.-->(me)Philip F., III. My next step is to tie in the Children of
James,Sr. into the records. I have 98% of my relatives under my Great
GrandFather Blake.

Philip

Hi,
I am a decendent of Cynthia McCracken (b~1830), daughter of William (b
~1788), son of James Sr. (born at sea, 1753), wife Sarah Greenwood. Most of
the genealogies I have seen have the wrong years for birth of William and
Rachel's children, based on census and other records I've found. I've not
progressed in my research enough to post the genealogy but this is what I do
know:

Charles G. Williams, b abt 1830 (1828-33 from various sources) in
Pennsylvania. Father Samuel Williams, b. abt 1808 in NY, mother unknown, b.
in PA
Home in 1860: Punxsutawney, Jefferson Co., Pennsylvania

Charles married Cynthia McCracken, b abt 1830 (1829-1835) in Clearfield Co.,
Pennsylvania. Their children were:
Samuel Thomas (went by Thomas), b abt 1855 in Pennsylvania
William H., b abt 1859 in Pennsylvania
George B., b abt 1862 in Pennsylvania -- died in MT
John Wakefield, b 1867 in Des Moines, Polk Co., Iowa (my
grandfather) died 26 Oct 1945, Terrebonne, OR (buried Redmond, OR Cemetery)
Effie (went by Ellie), b abt 1874 in Iowa (married Jesse R.
Richards) last in WA

Cemetery record for Cynthia:
Custer Co., NE Cemeteries: Lone Tree Cemetery—Williams, Cynthia, wife of C
C Williams, died October 1, 1901, Aged 71 yrs 5 m 14 d [= 17 Apr 1830?]

The CC on the tombstone probably was a misreading of CG.
