Now if only my McCrackens would give
me an indication!
James came from County Down late 1700's and joined the Royal Regiment of
Artillery, had a son (James) who as born in Malta... He in turn joined the
Regiment at the age of 14 and bagat a heap of kids, one of whom was my G
Grandfather, who begat etc etc among whom was Alice McCracken, my
Grandmother. The did not appear to have any contact with any other
McCrakens who appear at the top end of England and of course, Scotland. I
get a bit of mileage out of telling people that I wanted to wear a Kilt, but
saffron is not my colour!
