Dorris,
These books I found very helpful--an extremely well documented family
history in three volumes. I got them on interlibrary loan--free to my local
library from the big library in Seattle. I could only view them as
reference books--within the local library itself. I would assume your local
public library would also be able to get a copy of them from one library or
another, wherever the "Dashiell Family Records" by Benjamin J. Dashiell are
housed. Check with your interlibrary loan librarian:

Dashiell, Benjamin J., compiler, "Dashiell Family Records," Vol. I-3, The
Sun Printing Office, Baltimore, MD: 1928, (253 pages in Vol. 1), Seattle
Public Library, Seattle, Washington. A three-volume set with extensive
documentation and abstracts.

Good luck to you! I've found a fair gold mine in various family
genealogies through interlibrary loan, such as this.
