Based on the recent discussion of Chey's question, I've decided to
repost an earlier query. Has anyone ever heard of this place. I found
the name when searching the Deleware Archives, but I'm not sure how to
find out more about it. Dehorty is one of the names I am reasearching.

As I'm sure you know, "Dehorty" could be among the many possible
spellings of Dougherty or Daugherty (Dority, Douty, Doughty, etc.).
I've come across no such tract *so far* in colonial Somerset patents
under any of these spellings. There was a DOUGHERTYS
MISFORTUNE patented by "Douty" Collier in 1755 near Tyaskin,
a long way from Delaware.
This might only suggest that your property wasn't ever in the part of
Somerset that became Sussex, so may imply it was in one of the
eastern Sussex Hundreds. Where did your Dehorty live?
