I found this will abstract and think this might be related to my line. But
figured someone else might also be able to use it also.
Virginia Soldiers of 1776, Vol. 1
JOHN ELLIOTT, private
Exec. Dept. Feb. 14, 1834. The heirs of John Elliott are allowed L. B. for
his services as a Private in the Contl. line for three years. John Floyd, Gov.
Accomack Co. Court, 27 May, 1834. Certified that Elizabeth Lewis, one of the
children and devisees of John Elliott, a soldier in the Va. Contl line, died
intestate, leaving four children:--Cassey (now the wife of Jesse Midcap),
Mahala (now the wife of John Wise), Henry Riley and Sally Lewis.
Sally Elliott (now Warrington) another devisee:of said John Elliott, died
intestate, leaving three children:--John B. and Sally Warrington and Betsey
Bonwell (now the wife of Heeley Bonwell).
Levin Elliott, another devisee of said John Elliott, died intestate and
without children, leaving the aforesaid children of Elizabeth Lewis and Sally
Warrington as his heirs at law. A true copy teste, J. J. Ailsworth, Dep.
Clerk for Thos. R. Joynes, Clerk.
Abstract of the will of John Elliott, Accomack Co., Va. To son John Elliott,
seventy five acres of land I now live on; to son Levin the same land if son
John dies without issue;

to children:--John, Levin and Sally Elliott; to daughter Elizabeth Lewis; to
Sally Bradford, three pounds sterling in cash; residue of estate to be
divided among three children, Elizabeth, Levin and Sally. He appointed his
three friends Teakle Elliott, George Taylor and Thomas Elliott as his Extrs.
Signed, 26 Jan., 1797. Witnesses, Caty Mears, George Taylor, Caleb Bonwell
and William Bonwell
Will proved, Accomack Co. court, Feb. 27, 1797. Teste,

By this will John Elliott left the remainder of his estate to his three
children:--I Elizabeth, who left Cassey Midcap, Mahala Wise, Henry Riley and
Sally Lewis; II, Levin Elliott, who left no children; III, Sally Warrington,
who left John B. and Sally Warrington and Betsey Bonwell.
John Wise and Mahaly his wife appointed Vespasian Ellis their Atty. Witness
G. B. Cooke. Ackn. before G. B. Cooke, J. of P. Norfolk Borough, 21 Apl.,
1834.
June 2, 1834. Recd. warrant No. 7781 for 100 acres for the heirs of John
Elliott. Signed, Ves. Ellis, Atty.
Jesse Midcap and Cassy his wife, appointed the same Atty. Apt. 8, 1834. Ackn.
before William R. Custis, J. of P. Acco-mack Co., Apl. 8, 1834.

Warrington; Cassey Midcap (wife of Jesse Midcap); Mahala Wise, Henry Riley,
and Sally Lewis are the only heirs at law of John Elliott, a soldier in the
Va. Contl. line of the Rev. war. True copy teste, J. J. Aitsworth, Dep.
