I loved the poem. It made me think of my ggrandfather, Francis Marion
Fullerton. I was checking the census in Lawrence County for his name,
and low and behold, I found him listed as the census taker. He had
lovely, flowing writing that I wish more census takers had...I suspect
he drove a carriage tho as my mother remembers riding the mail route
with him in the carriage, He had a little charcoal burner that he hid
under the blankets to keep his feet warm on cold days.
