Subject: Wanted: AzariahThurston

Hi everyone,
One of my most wanted ancestors is Azariah Thurston. He was born 1798 in
Northampton Co. Va, and was lost at sea in 1844. Some say he was a
shipmaster.

I have a lot of information on him already. I would love to know more about
how he was lost at sea and where. Possibly it was during a great hurricane
that hit the West Indies in Oct. 1844.

His father may of been Abner Thurston who married in Northampton Co. in 1782
to Elizabeth Williams, daughter of Peter.

Azariah married Mary Ann Williams. Their children were James Benjamin,
Azariah, Margaret, Elizabeth and William T. Mary Ann died in 1841 and he then
married her half sister, Susan Williams.

I've been looking for almost 20 years for Azariah. Can someone provide new
insights?
