Searching for descendants of Joseph MOOR/MORE/MOORE who 28 OCT 1682
in the town of New Castle, Delaware [then Pennsylvania] signed a
pledge of obedience to William PENN. Other names on the Pledge were:
de la GRANGE de HAES, BRIETH, TIMPHILL, HOLMES, LEMMONS, PARMES,
ARSKINE, BARROTS, CLASSEN, and LAND. Joseph MOOR later turns up
south of New Castle in the Bombay Hook area of Duck Creek in a patent
of land that I believe was bequesthed to who I believe to be his son
henry MOOR, the father of Robert MOOR who m. Lydia SNOW the
GGGreatgrandaughter of Nicholas SNOW that had married the daughter of
Stephen HOPKINS of Jamestown and Mayflower in Duck Creek Hundred,
Kent County, delaware on 23 NOV 1773. Can anyone help me connect
Joseph MOOR to Henry MOOR or his brothers in New Castle County and
Kent County, Delaware?
