No, I certainly haven't received that message (yet! :-))

The two pages which I co-ordinate also happen to be the ones with most of my
'offers' on. Therefore, if I receive a blanket message, I tend to say
something like " As you do not identify which record you want searching, I
assume you are writing to me as the Co-ordinator of the X-shire page." Then
I tend to add the standard letter on afterwards, with an invite added to
write back if they want a particular record searching.

Most of the people have not written back, but some have - and have been
grateful for the 'instructions'!

I don't think anyone should 'feel bad' about saying they can't help without
more information. Lets face it, I bet most of you bend over backwards to
help the ones that you CAN help. :-)
