According to "Descendants of Alexander Crockett Ritchie 1778-1878" (by the
Ritchie Committee of Knott Co Historical Society), Irvin is indeed the son of
Joseph Hall & Mary Polly Combs, and he was born 2 Sep 1894 in Clear Creek,
Knott, KY and died 10 Jun 1972 in Knott Co. They married abt 1914. Claudia was born
31 Dec 1899 in Clear Creek and died 30 Apr 1980. Both are buried at Tallitha
Combs Cemetery in Fisty.

Irvin and Claudia had children: Hazel, Mary Jean (b abt 1928 in Knott Co),
Irvin Jr. (b abt 1929 in Knott Co, married Sonia Singleton), Ramey Sue (b abt
1933 in Knott Co), and Patsy Joe (b abt 1937 in Knott Co).

Hazel was first married to Paul Ritchie (son of Jasper Ritchie & Winnie
Combs), abt 1935. Paul was b 6 Jul 1910 in Perry Co and died 22 Dec 1971. He is
also buried at Tallitha Combs Cemetery. The book mentions only one child, Irvin
"Doonie" Ritchie, b 1943. No mention of another marriage to Hutchinson.
