I would like to have some information about Harry Wilson, who in 1844 was
described as being of Belle-vue House, near Carisbrooke. About that time he
was referred to as Captain Wilson, though the army and navy lists for that
year do not suggest any obvious candidate. Earlier, in 1836, he had been
referred to as Wilson, H., Esq., of Carisbrooke.

Are there any indexes to the 1841 census for the island? Or would it be a
big search for me to go through the 1841 census returns for the Carisbrooke
area, until I came across Belle-vue House? Of course, if someone can
pinpoint Belle-vue House for me, that would be helpful.

Any information would be appreciated.
