Hello

I would like to send a big thank you to everyone who replied to my query regarding Daniel DONOGHUE.

Thank you to Joanne who sent me the IOW bmd site which was brilliant as I hadn't known about it and have also got all my DYER children as it names the mothers maiden name and there are more children than I thought.

And thank you to Jon who has sent me loads of extra information on the DONOGHUE's, including Daniel's birth which shows his mother's maiden name as HARDELL, and is transcribed as Don Patrick. I had missed that one, his mother's maiden name was HARTELL so it's more than likely the right one, I have sent for the certificate.

I had Daniel LS Donoghue from the transcription of the 1871 census, but have now seen the image and I can't read Daniel's middle initial(s) at all. Jon thinks his middle initial is an exaggerated 'P' so Patrick would fit very well.

Thank you so much.

Regards

Ally
