Hello everyone,
I have just subscribed to this list. Before I got the internet, I thought URRY was an uncommon name (just 31 listed on the Canada411 telephone directory website). How wrong I was ! My main interests are URRY and BUTLER and related families.

URRY: Henry chr. 1838 Newport,
his parents Stephen chr. 1798 Brading and Frances BUTLER chr. 1804 Yaverland
Stephen's parents David (I think) b. 1763 Godshill and Jane MORGAN chr. 1764 Carisbrooke
David' parents David chr. 1736 Godshill and Mary BARTON b. C1742 Godshill
David's parents John b. 1700 Carisbrooke and Ann ??
John's parents William m. 27 Sep 1696 Northwood to Jane PANTRIDGE (dau. of John and Jone KITCH m. 9 Jan 1665)
Also BARTON/SMITH/WIGHT, MORGAN/MOVNNTHY?/TOMKINS, MORRIS/KERVILL (KERWELL)/BLOW/COOKE

BUTLER: Frances chr. 1804 Yaverland
her parents John chr. 1770 Brading and Mary FALLICK chr. 1775 Godshill
his parents Thomas chr. 1735 Chale and Mary SALTER buried 1823 Brading
his parents Thomas d. 1749 Chale and Sarah buried 1762 Chale
Also WHITTINGTON, BAKER, DORE, HOBBS

One particular puzzle: my gr.grandfather Henry URRY (chr. 15 Jun 1838 Newport) emigrated to Canada before 1867. He married, had two children and later abandoned his family. He may have stayed in Canada, or gone to USA or returned to England. Any suggestions on how to find his death date and place?

Regards, Janet Bush ( Ontario, Canada)
