Dear Listers,
My name is Carol Lloyd nee SHIRLEY I have used your list before with no success, unfortunately:0)
I am back to try again.

I am seeking a John Walter OR Walter John SHIRLEY who was a Corporal Royal Artillery.

His family were from Cornwall BUT one of his children was born on the I.O.W and another was Christened on the I.O.W.
They were:
Henry James SHIRLEY born 1879 at Sandown and Lucy SHIRLEY born at Saltash, Cornwall in 1876 BUT she was christened on I.O.W. in 1878.

Therefore, there has to be some connection possibly via the Royal Artillery, was there a Base on the island around 1878 - 1880 ??

I would really appreciate some advise and help with my never ending puzzle.
