I have a very similar situation in my family where Gt Gt Gt Grandmother was
the only survivor of 5 children. She was the eldest, eventually emigrating
to Australia when she was 44 yrs old. Here's my mob:-
- Elizabeth SCAMMELL (b. 1811 - d. 1866) [Later Mrs. Wm. COLLYER and Mrs.
Geo. CARPENTER]
- David SCAMMELL (b.1814 - d.1839)
- James SCAMMELL (b. 1817 - d,1839)
- Mary Ann SCAMMELL (b.1820 - d.1839)
- Jane SCAMMELL (b.1823 - d.1842)
- Leah SCAMMELL (b.1791 - d.1837) [their mother - nee MILLMORE]
These deaths all took place at Wellow, Shalfleet, and I've often thought
about TB, but then 3 of them were in the same year - Oct, Apr, and Sep
respectively.
