Sandy of Iowa,

Yes, I know how to order a record of a marriage from vital records. Maybe I didn't word my message well. I admit I'm getting a little frustrated. After all, I have received several free look-ups from sites such as Ancestral Findings, etc. and they come back to me with: "this record cannot be found". So, I hesitate to send money for a record that will come back with a "Sorry......." Yet, I know that this date is correct within one day give or take. I even have the newspaper write-up from when my gps celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary and relatives from thousands of miles attended and the entire community participated. Turns out my Gma had a stroke the night before her big day - making it even more of a news story. She recovered fully, btw. I'm just wondering if there is a way I can confirm the existance of the record before I send for it. Also, I'm wondering if anyone has had the experience - that no record exists for an ancestors marriage in 1897. How is t!
hat possible. If no response, I'll just send for the record and hope no probs arise.

Thank you for your response (I will use the form at that site),
Deveron
