Does anyone have info on obtaining a marriage record for the year 1897. My grandparents, Peter Henry Dinges m. Mary Agnes Langin were married October 26 or 27, 1897 at the Catholic Church in Odebolt which I believe would be St. Martins. I have written to them but received no reply. I read something about no index existing until 1915 for Iowa. I want to get the names of my great gparents off of the license. If anyone has any guidance or info to offer, please I will appreciate it. I know in 1900 that my gp lived in Sac County, Richland township so I'd bet they were married nearby. Would that be St. Martins? I also know that Monsignor Huesmann performed the rites and he lived nearby on the 1900 census.
