Thanks Sandi, I already had that information from his obituary and I have
taken a trip to Iowa in 1984 to see the Horn Cemetery. It is hard when you
run into a brick wall like this since there is no information of public
record available to solve the mystery of the family he was born into and
where they came from. Over the years I have been hoping to hear from
descendants from his children and step-children but to no avail. I had read
recently that Harriet MARSH and her son Cass B.U. MARSH belonged to the Old
Settlers Association of Iowa in Linn County in the years before her death in
1906. Maybe there is some information there about her husband Warner. I
have been to Chautauqua County in NY. However, due to a tradgedy they are
missing the probate court records before 1846 and only have a handful of the
land deeds before then also. So I am hoping someone in Iowa or who has done
extensive research involving brick walls can help. Thanks again for the
input. Lauree
