I DEFINITELY support closing the birth records for up to 95 years except for close relatives or legal reasons!

I VALUE MY PRIVACY! IF SOMEONE WANTS YOU TO GET MY BIRTH RECORD, I DON"T WANT YOU TO HAVE IT! If people from all over the world can get your birth certificate, then pretty soon, you will have a loss of identity problem! (As if we don't already) There are enough unscrupulous people out there including anti-this & that groups that wouldn't hesitate to use your identity if they could get enough information about you. THEY COULD CARE LESS WHAT PROBLEMS THEY MAY CAUSE YOU! They have different goals- such as making money, getting themselves out of hot water temporarily, etc. All they want is to assume someone else's identity for a while. And there are plenty of those cases happening now! PLEASE think about this before you write your congressman!
