While not the administrator of the INMONROE mailing list, I am a volunteer that typed (daily) newspaper articles and posted them.
I have written to Bob privately, but I will answer here Connie's reply and update the INSLEY list administrator.
Yes, the INMONROE admisitrator is aware of the problem. I have been in contact via e-mail and phone with her since around September 9th.
Just about a month ago, Rootsweb updated their software, switched servers or something, (everytime that I write them, it is a different answer) and to make a long answer short, they have lost our mailing list.
I was having problems, not my first with Rootsweb, with mail not getting through to the list, at this time, I was told that I was not subscribed to the list. Then, after unsubscribing, and resubscribing, I sent things to the INMONROE list, only to have them bounce to the administrator saying that she had to approve the messages. I unsubscribed and resubscribed and issued more newspaper articles. The same thing happened. I then unsubscribed and resubscribed only have joined the INSLEY list. I unsubscribed and resubscribed thinking that I made a mistake only to still be subscribed to the INSLEY list. This is when I contacted Randi and Rootsweb. The tech very kindly told me that I was crazy and sent me the correct hyperlinked address to subscribe to INMONROE. I made the attempt again through her links only to be subscribed to the INSLEY list again. Upon writting her again, she stated that it was a mess up in the address section, and they would get it fixed
immediately. I waited a few days and attempted to subscribe to INMONROE only to be subscribed to the INSLEY list again. I contacted Rootsweb and they informed me that it was a bigger problem than they thought, and I was told that it had to be delt with by the "big" tech there who wrote the program, and he is having problems with the program itself, and will get to the "list" problems as soon as he can.
Please be patient, Randi and I both e-mail Rootsweb twice a week. All we are told is they will get to it as soon as possible.
I don't know if everyone writing to the techs would help or not, as we are seemingly getting no where.
I have stayed subscribed to this mailing list to try to let anyone on the INMONROE list that might question our mailing list problems, therefore, if and when anything happens, I will be able to let everyone know what is going on.

I noticed a problem several weeks ago when the list was "migrated" by
Rootsweb to a new server. I have been in contact with the list administrator and with Rootsweb (see below), but with no luck as to resolution of the problem.

So far, nothing seems to have been done to correct the problem. Maybe we
all need to contact Rootsweb?
