ELLIS-HENNEL WEDDING
A wedding of interest to many friends in this city took place Tuesday when Miss Edith A. Hennel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hennel of east Third street, was married to Edward H. Ellis. The ceremony took place in Chicago and was performed at Olivett Memorial Institute by the pastor, the Rev. N.B. Barr, who has been for year a friend of the family of the bride.
Mrs. Joseph Hennel and Dr. Cora B. Hennel went from this city to be present at the wedding.
The bride is a graduate of Indiana University and has served as a Teacher Fellow in the Department of Botany during several years of graduate work. She left the university in 1914 to take up Social Service work in connection with the Charity Organization Society of Indianapolis. For the past year and a half she has been in Gary, as probation officer of the Lake County Juvenile Court.
The groom is a graduate of the law school in connection with the University of Colorado and is an attorney at law.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis arrived in the city today for a visit with relatives and friends and to attend the Commencement exercises of the University. They will remain in Indiana for a short time before leaving for their home in Chicago.
