Charity Work
Many People Give Substantial Aid to the Poor

At the Kahn Clothing store this morning a counter was piled with many bundles of clothing, underwear, bed comforts and other useful articles for the poor to be distributed by the local charity organization. “That notice you had in The World is the cause of this,” said Mr. Kahn. People who are comfortably situated have been bringing and sending in many articles to cheer the unfortunates and distributions are being made every day by the ladies of the board. In the bundles this morning there was clothing almost new and every article will be of great help to those unable to purchase the comforts of life. Every contribution will be used to good advantage by the charity board.

Along the line of charity a good word may be said now for the Board of Guardians of Monroe County appointed last week by Judge Wilson. The board has already found good homes for a three year old boy and a little girl and has other homes for friendless children.
