Happy Wedding Bells Sunday Afternoon and Night



A big surprise to their many friends was the announcement this morning of the marriage of Miss Villa McIntyre and Fred Pryor Sunday evening at 8:30 o’clock at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Myrtle McIntyre, east 7th street.



The ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Todd was witnesses by only the immediate family. The surprise was not learned by the friends until after the happy couple had left on the early train, for the southern part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Pryor will return to this city the latter part of the week and will for the time being reside with the grooms parents on south Dunn street.



The groom is the daughter of Mrs. Myrtle McIntyre, east 7th street, and is one of Bloomington’s highly esteemed young ladies. She is a graduate of the local high school and a member of the high school Delta Theta Tau sorority. Mr. Pryor, the son of A.T. Pryor, being engaged in the shoe business on the west side of the square. He is a high school graduate, attended college for some time, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Phi.

Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock Miss Edith Fuller and Charles Gilbert Leffel, of North Manchester, were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents on west 7th street in the presence of a number of relatives and close friends. During the ceremony, which was pronounced by Rev. C.M. Kroft, Miss Florence McCartney played Mendelssohn’s wedding march. The bride wore a beautiful white satin gown with a hand embroidered chiffon tunic, and carried a shower boquet of bride’s roses. After the ceremony refreshments of ice cream and cake were served. Many handsome presents were received the gift of the groom being Lavalliere neck chain.



Because of the announcement of the wedding which came out Saturday, the couple boarded the 4:10 train at the yards in order to escape their friends. They left for Indianapolis and a tour of the lake and will be at home after September 1 at Elkhart. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fuller and is one of Bloomington’s most esteemed young ladies. She is a graduate of high school and has attended the University. Mr. Leffel is a graduate from the University is 1909 and a member of Kappa Sigma fratertity. He is with the History department of Elkhart high school.



Among the out-of-town guests were: James Leffel, of St. Louis, a brother of the groom, Mrs. Marie Fuller and daughter, Miss Hattie, of Indianapolis, and Dr. and Mrs. O.F. Gray, of Spencer.
