Dave,
How about the Payne 2 Cemetery in Washington Township, Monroe County,
Indiana? What do you know about the location of that one? The first
edition cemetery book that I have does not indicate a Section Number for
this cemetery, but I suspect it may be Section 26, possibly on land owned by
the Brummetts. John and Dinealy Payne sold land in Section, 26, Washington
Township, to William C. Withrow in 1865, and when William sold the property
in 1866, he excluded the quarter acre "where the graveyard is on said land."
(See Monroe County, Indiana, Deed Book W, p. 548.)
