Sanford Brown was run over and killed instantly by a train on March 4, 1896, in an accident which occurred at the Consolidated Stone Quarry.

See envelope labeled BROWN, Sanford; DEATH, same date as above, in envelope file of newspaper clippings. This clipping has flaked due to age and deterioration of this particular newspaper, however, a BROWN descendant has provided us with the entire text of Sanford Brown's death notice.
