STINESVILLE
On last Sunday morning our town and community were shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. John Terry which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Glen Easton in Ellettsville. While Mrs. Terry was living in Ellettsville at this time she had lived in Stinesville for years and was known and respected by everyone here.
Her funeral was conducted by the Rev. Allen Trusty of Plainfield at the Christian Church here on Tuesday. The music was furnished by Mrs. Terry's neighbors in Ellettsville, Mrs. D. Languel, Miss Mildred Reeves, Alex Muir and Elmer Williams. The singing and the songs sung were beautiful and was very fitting for the occasion as Mrs. Terry was a lover of good singing and always when in good health took an active part in the music of the Christian Church here.
Mrs. Terry leaves her husband, John A. Terry, and daughter, Mrs. Glen Easton, and children, Marcellus, Mrs. Harriet Draper, Harry and Bernice Easton, all of Ellettsville, who will mourn their loss and miss Mrs. Terry very much.
She was laid to rest in Chambersville Cemetery by an infant daughter who passed away several years ago.
Among the out of town relatives and friends at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Cristler of Redford, Mrs. Lonnie Botts, Kirklin, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mast and daughter, Ben Davis, Mrs. Lennie Goens and daughter Mildred of Indianapolis, Mrs. Bonnie Hastings Reasor and husband of Indianapolis and many neighbors and friends from Ellettsville and Bloomington.
