If any of you live in the Vigo County area and have Vigo County Public
Library cards, or reciprocal cards because you belong to a library in a
surrounding county, you can now access the PERSI index from home with your
Vigo County Public Library Card. It is part of Heritage Quest, and some
adjustments were made this morning that now enable home access to the PERSI
part, The census images and books worked before, but the PERSI index was
not accessible from home using your Vigo County Public Library card. Sorry,
those of you out of the library service area, and not affiliated with an
area library cannot access it, but if your home library subscribes to
Heritage Quest and you have a card with your home library, most likely you
can get into it from home as well.

PERSI is an index to genealogy magazines that contain articles about our
ancestors. For example, Owen County has a genealogy magazine that is
indexed by PERSI. At this point, all you can see are the citations, but
eventually, the full text of the articles are supposed to be online.
