Miss Belle Shields Dead
Miss Belle Shields, daughter of Mrs. Martha Shields Labertean, died last evening at 6:30 P.M. sitting in a chair at the home of Miss Ellen Patten where she had lived for the past 5 years. Miss Shields was born in Kentucky and came to Bloomington when a young lady and has made this her home ever since. She was a relative of the Hunter, Sluss, Baker, Carmichael and Breeden families and a cousin of Ex-Mayor Denny of Indianapolis. She spent a quiet life living and doing things for others.
The funeral will be held at the residence of J.A. Hunter, north Walnut street. The time is not known on account of the arrival of a brother from Hiawatha, Kansas.
