Undertaking Firm Charge S.P. Templeton Retires
H.R. Barrow Now Sole Owner of Local Morgue
Today the S.P. Templeton Co. undertaking establishment was purchased by Mr. Templetons partner, H.R. Barrow, who will continue to operate the establishment under his own name. This is the oldest business of its kind in the city having been engaged in undertaking for over a quarter of a century.
Mr. Templeton has purchased an interest in the D. C. Barnhill Co. of Crawfordsville and will go there to take active charge of the business.
Mr. Barrow has been associated with Mr. Templeton during the past year and is well known in this city. He came to Bloomington from Hamilton, Ohio a year ago, having previously been connected with an undertaking firm in that city. He has been in the undertaking business almost all of his life, having worked with his father who is an undertaker in Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of an Eastern college and as a graduate of the Cincinnati College of Embalming he holds Embalmers State Licenses in Ohio and Indiana. The new firm will engage in the undertaking business and Mr. Barrow will devote his time principally to undertaking. A lady assistant will be in attendance when requested.
In connection with the business a modern ambulance for the exclusive use of the sick and injured will be ready to answer calls either day or night.
