In His Foot



Elmer Bender, the well known clothier, had the misfortune to step on a rusty nail yesterday which penetrated through the sole of his shoe and two inches in his foot. He was at the home of his brother southeast of the city inspecting the ruins of a barn which had been leveled by the recent cyclone when he stepped on the nail. He came to the city where the wound was properly dresses by Dr. Fred Batman. Mr. Bender is suffering considerably from the injury and is compelled to walk with crutches. He will likely take the anti-lockjaw serum as a further precaution.
