Attend Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Coffee, 817 north Jackson street, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Calvert, motored to Martinsville Monday where they attended the marriage of Miss Mary Tressler to Leo Landis Calvert of Dugger, the groom being a nephew of Mrs. Coffee and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Calvert and a former resident of this city.
The wedding took place at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Tresslar (sic) in the presents of more than a hundred guests and the ring ceremony was used. The bride has been a popular teacher in the Centertown high school the past year and the groom is a foreman of one of the mines at Dugger. Concerning the wedding the Martinsville Reporter has the following:
Mrs. Ralph Tresslar, of Bicknell, sand a group of bridal airs before the plighting of vows. The bridal party took their places in front of a bank of white peonies and syringias. The brides brother, Ralph Tresslar, of Bicknell, was best man and Mrs. Tresslar, matron of honor. Miss Laura Holmes was bridesmaid and Fred Tresslar , a brother, preceded the bride, who came with her father. Miss Estelle Rinker, of Brooklyn, played the wedding march and also the accompaniments. The brides dress was of white sating and she carried a bouquet of white sweet peas.
After congratulations, dainty refreshments were served.
