Fell Down Stairs
Robert Muir, aged 28, a young stone cutter who came here a short time ago from Chicago, was seriously injured Sunday noon when he fell down a flight of stairs leading from the Faulkner rooming house, Brissenden block at 6th and Morton streets. He lost his balance at the top step, fell headlong and struck the door at the bottom with terrific force.
Muir was picked up bleeding and unconscious. Dr. Harris was called and the injured man was taken to the hospital. The right arm was badly injured and there were several bad scalp wounds caused by the head striking the steps. Muir remained unconscious for two hours, and it was at first thought there was a fracture of the skull but his condition is much improved today. He is a single man and had been working at one of the mills south of town and was rooming at the Faulkner house. None of his relatives are here.
