Bloomington (IN) Courier, Oct 19, 1876, p. 3.

The Bedford Star of last week contains a thrilling account of a sad
accident "one mile north of Bloomington" wherein the cars are made to run
over and horribly mangle the bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell "who had only
been married six months." All this is said to have occurred a weak ago
last Monday. The Star man has been sold. No such accident has taken place.
