Miss Grace McHenry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. McHenry and Charles O’Conner, of Baltimore, Md., were united in marriage at the Baptist parsonage in Bloomington on lat Saturday, April 30, the Baptist minister officiating in the presence of M. L. Easton of this place and the bride’s father, C. C. McHenry. The bride is 17 and the bridegroom 19. The boys and girls gathered up tin pans, cans, horns and other musical instruments and repaired to the home of the bride, two miles west of this place and gave the happy couple an a la Filipino tom-tom serenade. Mr. O’Conner, anticipating a charivari was prepared to satisfy the demands of the boys but no provisions were made for the girls as none were expected that distance from home. But the girls said they were amply repaid by the fun they got out of the trip. Mr. and Mrs. O’Conner will live on their farm, west of this place.
