IN HONOR OF VISITING GUEST
A delightful afternoon was a bridge today given by Mrs. John Sutphin as a
compliment to her sister, Mrs. Russell G. Fernald from Denver, who is here
on a visit. There were eleven tables and Mrs. Sutp[hin was assisted by the
Mesdames Lewis Bowles, Walter Teter and Lynn Lewis. During the afternoon
dainty refreshments were served that included individual ices, French
pastries, nuts and coffee and the decorations were French baskets of spring
flowers. The ladies found Mrs. Fernald a very charming lady, and the
afternoon proved of unusual pleasure.
