Samuel Tucker, a well known colored man, is in the tolls of the liquor
law. Sam is charged with running a "walking blind tiger," and the officers
believe that they have evidence enough to stick him on. Deacon Hunter, the
blacksmith, made an affidavit that he bought a pint of liquor from Tucker.
