Subject: [INMONROE] Death - Miss Ola Myers
Date: Mon, 06 Jan 2003 02:56:29 -0500
Bloomington Weekly Telephone, August 12, 1892, p. 4
Upon learning of the death of Miss Ola Myers, the students of the Normal School appointed a committee consisting of Misses Dessie Gilman, Edna Peterson, and Emma Edmondson to draft resolutions which were reported as follows:
Whereas, it has pleased Almighty God, in his wisdom, to remove from our midst, Miss Ola Myers, be it resolved, that we as teachers feel that we have lost a kind, true and model friend and co-worker. Although her earthly life is ended, her example will ever survive as a model for those who knew her. Be it further resolved, that expressions of our heartfelt sympathy for the members of her family, is tendered, for knowing as we do that Ola was a kind, conscientious and charitable associate we feel that the loss by those immediately associated with her is irreparable.
