Thanks, Larry. I have been to Shields Cemetery and seen the stones, so I
will assume that James and Margaret Snoddy are, in fact, buried there. The
year of death I have for James is, however, 1922 according to the
information taken from an obituary and entered into my genealogy
program. What is your source?
Its my feeling that Loretta (Snoddy) Condra, the director of the genealogy
library at the Monroe County Historical Society, was probably named in part
for her great grandmother, Margaret Luretta (Payne) Snoddy.
