Death of Fidella Adamson

The little daughter of Eld. H. H. Adamson and wife, who has been dangerously ill for some time, died Sunday morning, and was buried at the M. E. cemetery Tuesday evening. Mr. Adamson, the father, hands us the following for publication:
Early on the morning of Sept. 4, 1904, our much loved and deeply mourned Fidella Eva Adamson sweetly and calmly breathed out her precious little soul into the arms of Him who said: “Suffer little children**** to come unto me.”

For 8 years, 3 months, and 22 days she had lived to gladden the hearts and brighten the home of her parents. While she had always been a delicate child, yet she enjoyed life so much. Sad, sad, indeed, that the sunbeam from her face, the twinkle of her eyes, the ripple of her laughter, and the music of her voice will increase our joys nor inspire our lives on earth no more.

As she lay in her little white casket so free from every trace of pain; so beautiful to look upon; so sweet, so pure, so innocent, she looked more like a lovely little fairy fresh from the hands for God, rather than like one who had lived and suffered, and died, Dear, kind, patient, beautiful, grey-eyed darling. Only those who have suffered such losses can truly sympathize with us in these the darkest, saddest hours of our lives.

Two little sisters, aged five and ten; father, mother, with many relatives, and scores of friends are left in sorrow and in tears. May god help us all to live upon this Earth in such a way that we can meet our precious pet in the bright Beyond.

O, white robed angels, ye came uninvited,
And waited our loved one away;
But o’er the river beyond the bright star,
She’s at home with the Savior today.

Father and Mother
