Miss Armstrong Dies In West

Was Born at Harrodsburg, a Daughter of Barton Armstrong Years Ago a Prominent Man of This Section – Age 26 and Sick Five Years.

Inasmuch as the Barton Armstrong family were long prominent residents of the Harrodsburg community, the following death account from the Great Falls (Mont.) News will be of interest:

Miss Imogene Armstrong, 26, daughter of Bart Armstrong, pioneer sheepman of Ormington, died Friday at the home of her brother, Walter Armstrong 1825 Seventh avenue north. She had been in ill health for the last five years.

Miss Armstrong was born in Harrodsburg, Ind., in 1897, and moved her with her father in 1890. Since that time she had resided in Great Falls or in the immediate vicinity.

She attended school up to and including the sixth grade, when she went to St. Mary’s school in Fairibaut, Minn. Later she attended Bruno hall in Spokane, from which she graduated in 1917.

Miss Armstrong is survived by her father and five brothers, Webb Armstrong, residing at 102 Third avenue north; Walter Armstrong, of 1825 Seventh avenue north; Harry Armstrong of Armington, U. S. Armstrong of Los Angeles, and Gaiton Armstrong of Sacco, Mont.

The body is at the W. H. George undertaking parlors and the funeral will be held at the George Chapel this afternoon. William C. Coffman of the Christian Science church will officiate. Burial will be in the Highland cemetery.
